Busy
Yesterday we returned from six nights camping. We visited two of our state’s volcanos, spent a day enjoying an old town, and dinner with my DH’s bestie, a day poking around the local terrain, and a day ‘in camp.’ While the days were very full, this seems to be the only way we relax. Exploring sites, reading at will, sleeping in, meals to envy… It was really good.
Day after tomorrow I head back to the Island for only two nights, after touring a local mainland garden with my tenants. The main directive is to buy a classmate’s Franklin stove for the upper barn. I’ll also consult with my AN about abandoning the ground well’s pressure tank, in place, and doing something new… And easier. I really need his, trackhoe, digging capabilities. He seems amenable. Thank Heavens.
I then go back to our mainland home, with lovely company the next day, for 2.5 weeks before returning to the Island for eight days over the 4th of July holiday. Then back to the mainland for 2.5 weeks. Back to the Island for seven days (band reunion!), a night on the mainland, and then off to the coast for most of a week. And then 2.5 weeks on the mainland before I go back to the Island. And so it continues!
I’m glad for the opportunity to get things accomplished on the Island (the list is getting shorter), and am looking forward to spending time there that’s less goal oriented. Also looking forward to spending more time in my mainland garden!
