Upper Barn

My tenants are interested in renting the upper barn for part of their ever expanding business adventures. They offered me way too much money for it, plus improvements. We agreed to talk over the weekend, including money. I am unable to find comps on any of the islands, and am unwilling to take advantage of their generosity. Yeah, I want a reasonable rent for it, and the the building has one-110 circuit, wood heat, a small, non-leaking, tear in the metal siding on the south side, and essentially no insulation. The roof is tight!

There’s a lot to do if this is going to happen. It kind of rearranges my priority lists starting with (finally) holding the estate sale. We’re more ready than ever save lots of pricing. And finding some help… Some security (maybe), help to direct parking, and someone to handle the money. And then there’s the rest… Emptying the building of things we’re keeping. Lease, legal, insurance, etc. We’ll see how it pans out!
