August I 2023 Island Trip – Day 6

Yesterday I crossed off a long standing list item: I took water samples from the house and the unfiltered stand pipe by Stella, and dropped them at the local environmental lab on the mainland. After all the grit found in the aerators, I want to know what’s in the water. The lab will test for dozens of minerals and bacteria. I’m not worried about bacteria. I drink the well water after in goes through Stella’s inline filter, and a Britta filter. Never had a problem. I’m more interested in the minerals, and how I can protect the appliances.

I brought a small truck load of fire wood home. It’s not to start early to reprovisioning our fire wood supply.

It was an easy exit and landing. I’m grateful.
