Heading Back

If I’m lucky, in 43-hours I’ll be back on the Island. Why lucky? The ferries are a hot mess right now with the Islands down to only two boats instead of four 😳. The third boat met with a mishap yesterday and will be towed, if deemed tow-worthy, from our Island to the mainland terminal tomorrow. If all goes well, it’ll be out of service for a couple of weeks. If there’s more damage than they’ve discovered so far, who knows how long it’ll be down. The transportation department is trying to shake loose another boat for the Island run. Anyway, I’ll be leaving as early as I can on Wednesday as there likely won’t be much of a schedule other than ‘first come first served with a priority for reservation holders.’ Yes, I have a reservation!

My high school buddy Kev has confirmed he and his sweetie will be there Friday to pick up the water tank. He’s been promising to pick this up for years. I think letting him know I was gonna sell it if he didn’t come get it was motivating 😏.

We’ve found a few more items, mostly art, here to add to the sale. My son-in-law is sending some steel shelving too.

I keep having to tell myself it’s OK not to have found every single thing we don’t need or aren’t going to use before the estate sale takes place. We can sell, donate, give away other items as they present themselves. While I’m not all that eager to hold the sale, I am absolutely looking forward to its outcome.
