New Year’s 2024 Island Trip – Day 2

As is our usual pattern when entertaining, we stayed up very late after our friend left, and then slept in equally late 😂.

Tho not feeling urgent about accomplishing lots of things, we did, with many ThankX to my DH (the patient one) for swapping out both the exterior ‘prison yard’ light at the east entrance door to the house, and the dining area track light for the second LED glass ‘disk’ light. The upgrade is extreamly satisfying. The shower is rinsed of yesterday’s hard-water treatment. The compost heap is down to two cart fulls before finally being dispersed. I took a small batch of items to the local rolling charity garage sale, and then ran a few town errands. We also fired up and installed a second wildlife camera, tho this one is pointed at the house until the tenants arrive.

We worked until past dark, and were grateful for a warmish end of year (mid-40’s) day. We are also thankful for post-toil showers, are looking forward to shepherd’s pie leftover dinner, and have zero aspirations of staying up until midnight 😏.
