March 2024 II Island Trip – Day 1

We got here. That’s the big news! The trailer, Lady Jane Grey (LJG) is temporarily parked in Stella’s meadow, which we may have to rename 😏. Our AN and his sweet wife came over this afternoon to consult and plot. The plan start tomorrow morning.

We planned to go out to dinner this evening for my DH birthday. Our first pick has a limited Tuesday menu, not gluten free. Our second choice was hosting a private event. We next discovered that everything on the Island, except for the sports bar was closed on Tuesday! We needed to go the market anyway, and chose an eclectic dinner: cooked prawns that we dipped in vinaigrette salad dressing, and a locally produced GF lasagne. We brought lovely GF cupcakes with us from the mainland as dessert for my DH’s birthday cake. Yes, lacking in veggies, and we’ll make up for that tomorrow with a robust shrimp salad.
