March 2024 II Island Trip – Day 2

Our AN regraded the entire area between the north side of the upper barn, where LJG will live, to the edge of the garden below Stella, and then from the edge of the drive that leads to Stella down to the east. I have always been perfectly content with the way things were graded, and this is SO much better! Pics to follow.

My DH spent the day digging up the utilities to Stella. Our AN gave him a head start with the excavator, however the sewer line is elusive. The guys will address this tomorrow. At this point the hole my DH is spelunking in is more than six feet deep… The idea is to tie into Stella’s electric and sewer for LJG. Just gotta find that sewer pipe!!

I got to spend some time in Stella’s garden trimming back perennials and doing a little weeding. I also took a small load of items from my DH’s dad’s shop to the Island’s non-profit year-round garage sale. They took everything, including old latex paint exhumed from the shop on our previous trip to my MIL’s. I was thrilled!
