March 2024 II Island Trip – Day 6 Part 1

And then everything changed…

Well, the bottom line is we were possibly exposed to Covid Friday evening. We went to dinner with our neighbor. Yesterday morning she was told she was exposed on Thursday. She tested positive yesterday afternoon and had it confirmed at the hospital. Being 74 she didn’t want to mess around. We’ll start testing tomorrow. The only thing that seems odd to me is the incubation period between her exposure and her testing positive. 2.5 days at the most. She could have picked it up earlier from an unknown source. Don’t get to know. Sigh.

So with our project here unfinished due to the rain, I am still here, and my DH just got to the the mainland. Our AN is willing to keep going this afternoon. We’ll maintain distance and I’ll wear an N95. I’ve cancelled my Monday appt, will cancel my Wednesday appt, and have let my daughter know, as I was suppose to have our grandson for 5-nights starting Thursday.

I hear the front end loader. Time to go to work.
