March 2024 II Island Trip – Day 9

Deep hibernation in bed felt really good this morning. I slept well, with a brief 3:24AM moment to close the roof hatch. The frogs had gone to bed, and so why continue to invite the cool air in if there was no frog song to go with the cool air?

My DH’s text showing me his negative Covid text got me out of bed. I tested negative too, and decided to head back to our mainland home. My DH and I had talked about my returning tomorrow if we both tested negative in order to give me a chance to gently walk through anything I needed to do. Today was the time to get home!

I got LJG set up with an electric heater, DriZair, and figured out her keys. There is only one mystery key, and two that we need to make duplicates of. Trailers have a LOT of keys!!

An incredible amount of work was accomplished in the last eight days. I’m left feeling incredibly thankful knowing my DH can accompany me to the Island and be able to work in a space that he chose and loves. We can be together here and there, and that’s everything. 💜
