August 2024 Island Trip – Day 4

The weather was finally conducive to working on the house exterior. The building needed a lot more scraping than I expected… And it got done. I also deployed two tubes of caulk that my AN calls, “Siding in a tube.” All in all it took about 4-hours.

My DH and the cat arrived just after 1PM. I took a break and helped them get settled. The cat, while vocal about his displeasure during the ride, was super chill when being released into Stella. He did spend some time under the covers, but has been social, playful and enjoying the views.

My DH and I strolled over to visit our neighbor to the east, and admire her new deck railing. Her project turned out wonderfully. It was really nice to sit on the deck and catch up.

A late dinner is imminent. Tomorrow I prime all the bare wood on the house, weather permitting. 🤞
