PT
I started physical therapy on Monday. It was almost amazing to the the PT use the same language the podiatrist did: “We need to keep your foot from falling off.” My inner 8-year old boy sees a cartoon of my foot falling off of my ankle! What they mean is we don’t want another ligament or tendon to let loose and leave me with an unusable foot. She gave me five exercises to do twice a day. They feel good and leave my ankle tired despite being fairly light weight.
Yesterday I found two pairs of Birkenstock ‘clogs’ to wear for the duration of my healing process. One pair for inside, one for outside. The brace won’t stretch them out, the arch support is great, and dang, they’re just as comfortable as they were when I was a kid! Yup, still practicing my little old lady groove! 😂
