March 2025 Island Trip – Day 1

Due to my DH’s impressively quick driving 😏 we got to the ferry terminal in time to catch the earlier boat, which was running a little late!!

It’s been a quiet day except for the part when I realized we left a great whack of stuff at home that was behind a closed door. This will require me to make a fast round trip 🙄 on Monday or Tuesday. That’s what we get for ignoring one page of our electronic checklist. Anyway, I had some choice words, said at a slightly amplified volume over this screwup. Not that all of these items would have fit in the truck with everything else we brought with us 🙃. I learned again that Stella’s fridge is not as big as the fridge at home! I dubbed Stella’s fridge the ‘clown fridge’ this afternoon. The door just closes…

After a nap, I went through the seed catalogs I brought with me. My eyes are bigger than my available gardening space 😂. One thing I’m buying for sure are purple Napa cabbage seeds!

Things look good around here. There is still a, vastly smaller, leak at the pump room window. I’ll dive into that before long.
