March 2025 Island Trip – Day 10
Our friend, who sharpens our knives, and also lives in a trailer, helped me figure out the 12-volt issue that was keeping us from replacing the propane detector. It was a fuse. An in-line fuse under the couch. Evidently when I took scissors to the old propane detector’s wires, at 3AM, while it was loudly telling us it was at the end of its life span, over New Year’s, I shorted out the fuse by cutting the wires simultaneously. I bought a new fuse, followed protocol, and we are again protected from nefarious propane leaks. My DH was 200% participatory in this project. He dealt with the mystery of no power to the wiring to where this unit is attached, trouble shot… but I just happened to finish the wiring with our friend’s help. My DH got the devise attached to the wall. Team work!

I spent some time chatting with the fellow that bought our AN’s property while he was working on one of his well heads that’s on our side of the hill. I am encouraged that we share a similar world view.
The painter was here again today. He’s edging everything. This takes time. I am eager for him to start rolling the paint out!
I took care of a lot a business today. Appliance contractor, my CPA, reviewing the lease…
