Music

I had a good meeting at our local independent coffee shop with a musician who lives in the same town. They too stopped with the Covid shutdown and are only now peeking out to see what opportunities might be about. They found me on an online music forum I have a profile on.

We sat outside in the cold in our fleece as the coffee shop was over populated and LOUD. I brought printed set lists they sent me and they did the same with lists I’d sent them. There are commonalities. We spent time listening to music on our phones (thank goodness for technology), sharing, mostly, songs I was unfamiliar of theirs (not too many). Their set lists are serious radio/campfire music from our childhood.

We’re both from the same area of the country. Have been in this area for a similar time and live about a mile apart 😳.

They sent me a lot of great music videos and recordings that my DH and I enjoyed this evening.

Our idea is to take the songs we’ve both done, and a few more, and work on them. They have some nice local contacts (one less that a mile from here) for venues that are about ambient music for an hour or two, rather than 4-hours of keeping people dancing and drinking… I am willing to see and put some time into where this might go. 🎶 🎤
