April/May 2025 Island Trip – Day 7

Today was beautiful. Sunshine, 70º and breezy. It’s wonderful to have Stella open during the day, though we still run the little electric heater at night. We soon as we get the trailer ‘skirted’ she’ll hold temperature better.

I kept working on my shophop itinerary in the morning, and made a run to town late morning. We needed beverages and soapy things 😂. After some lunch and housekeeping I tried to take the cat for another walk. He was content to wander on the outdoor rug Tim gave us, but Not instantly go back in when allowed to do so. Next was to straighten up the pump room now that the GC and his guys aren’t in and out with the window replacement project. That felt good, and the place almost feels usable.

Then I got the news about our AN. See previous post. It took a bit to take that news in and then share it with my DH. So, next was to clean up the three big front windows on Stella as our AN wouldn’t stand for a lugubrious session. The cat supervised this activity from the interior, and as always, when sad/upset, bossing dirt (being in control of Something) helped.

We’re headed out to dinner with our neighbor to the east (NTTE maybe?) this evening and will raise a toast to our friend.

Tell your people you love them, appreciate and have gratitude for all the things… You never know when it will be the last time, whether it’s talking to someone you deeply care about, your Bestie moves to the other coast halting Wednesday lunches, or Ben & Jerry’s discontinues the flavor you like most. 💜
