April/May 2025 Island Trip – Day 8, & Happy Birthday Dad!!

We slayed all the things on the list today. Well, there’s an irrigation struggle in the big garden, but there’s a work around for the moment, and hand watering if the tenants really do actually plant anything! 😏 The irrigation at the house is 100%

We got the rose support up on the drier shed, and finished off the burn pile. This after sleeping in and enjoying a farmer’s breakfast.

I micromanaged the grasses around the fruit trees trunks. They look great.

It was an introspective day, being my dad’s birthday. I often wonder what he would think about all the work I’ve put into the property. So many thing that weren’t important to him, but ultimately needed to be done due to structural integrity. And yes, even when he was alive. Roofs… I’m not pooping on him, just pondering how different and similar we were/are. 🧐
