Gearing Up

We’re heading to the Island Fri/Sat. My DH’s work intensity needs him to not travel on a weekday. There are benefits and bummers to this. A benefit is splitting the departure (both ends) tasks. A bummer is paying for/taking two cars onto the Island, tho that frequently proves to be a benefit, as does the split schedule in dealing with things on the mainland. It’s all good.

The long weekend has compressed my ‘to do’ list al little… Like, I have three days to accomplish what I want/need to get done rather than four. 🙃 Not that I sat on my bum for three days, but suddenly tomorrow is Tuesday! I got this!

I got in 4-hours of gardening yesterday, one of them with our grandson. He, as always, was eager to help 💕. Compared to last year, our mainland garden is lush this late May. The plantings, and the weeds 😂.

My DH deployed the rest of the drip irrigation system today! I need to check on a a few areas, and then we’re good to go for the season. He does the macro, I do the micro.

And to the above, I need to call a contractor that is rumored to have a plumber on staff to help me with the Island garden stand pipe. Back pressure from the drip system is making it leak. No es bueno….
