June 2025 Island Trip – Day 13

The line trimming got done. Additional mowing was accomplished in areas where Miguel doesn’t mow, the driveway was ‘groomed’ with the mower deck lowered, in hopes that the tenants will comply with my edict that they drive on the driveway, rather than next to the driveway…

Interesting to note that yesterday I observed the tenant’s car’s left lower front end had taken quite a hit, and on my stroll to dinner with my neighbor to the east, I saw that duct tape was holding things together. Interesting that within days that I told them to drive on the road, not next to it, their car is damaged…

I watered Stella’s slope, and need to replace the 50’ – 1/2” ‘seep’ irrigation hose. Nothing happens when I fire it up… I watered by hand and will again tomorrow. Anything living in the slope is established… And, adding a little water while I’m here won’t hurt!

I had a great dinner with my neighbor to the east. I helped her pin a number a pants so she could get them hemmed. We enjoyed a zillion topics 💜.

As usual, I’m fast forwarding the closing up tasks. There are only so many tasks that can be checked off the list ahead of time, yet so much that can be done to advance departure.
