Camp Reunion – Day 1
Getting here was grueling, The drive took 5 3/4 hours through traffic that didn’t make sense (what traffic makes sense??). At our usual stopping point someone tickled my shoulder as I was checking out with a snack. It was my daughter!! I wondered if we’d see her and her family at this weigh station 💜.
On our way to the beach we stopped at a venerable mercantile as we forgot to take our pillows… They had pillows and cases, which will live forever more in Luna. The RV ‘resort’ we’re staying at is tired, but has everything we need. We can hear the ocean surf, a mere 5-blocks away away from where we are.
Seeing everyone at camp this afternoon was wonderful! Shared stories, catching up, community, and mostly sharing and experiencing the gathering with our grandson, He is a 4th generation camp kiddo in our family. That he is excited to spend time on the property where my mom was when she was pregnant with me is a beautiful homecoming indeed. 💜
