November 2025 Island Trip – Day 1

This trip is about checking on trailers and pump rooms’ temperatures. now that the weather is cooling sharply, getting our old gas generator to a person I trust to own it (he works for a friend/contractor), and talk to that contractor about the structure he’s going to build over Stella, and the jacks he’s installing under her (the jacks I decided I was not skilled enough to deploy). There are lots of other small bits and pieces, and after Monday, I will not exert myself in any way I do not see fit. My eldest has instructed me to listen to my lizard brain on this point. Delighted, I asked what sort of lizard… We decided that my lizard brain is that of a purple dragon!

I am also delighted to report that there were no mice upon my arrival or evidence of them having been in Stella. One of my little tasks is to replace the seals around Stella’s electrical and water hatches, a likely access point. Steel wool is doing the job, and the original seals are toast. I have something that will work, and it’s a low-impact task. I have long needed to inventory the contents of the trailer for our insurance policy. One does not want to try and recall what was in the coach should there be a loss… that’s a super low impact task!

I took a nice walk with my neighbor to the east and we’ll have dinner one of these evening.

My inner dragon is telling me to get in bed with my quilting magazine… G’nite.
