November 2025 Island Trip – Day 6

Not wanting to drive the loaded truck up to Stella (minor risk of tearing up the ‘road’), I used our Gorilla cart to schlep stuff back and forth. No surprises pulling out, and I got to town in time to do a little Christmas shopping after putting the truck in line. I ran into a neighbor, someone who my folks really liked, and was called a ‘bad neighbor’ for not letting him know I was around 😂. I’ll mend my poor behavior next trip.

On the ride back to the mainland, I sat with my back to the sun while eating lunch and reading. It felt amazing, therapeutic.

Upon my arrival home I popped some beautiful turkey thighs and drumsticks into the oven, surrounded by veggies. It’ll feed us for a number of days. It’s the right week for it 🦃. Happy Thanksgiving all!
