Visitors and Tomorrow’s Appointment
My yoga girlfriends came over early this afternoon 💜. One brought homemade GF cookies and pastry, and the other brought three primroses. I felt very pampered by both their company and the treats. The flowers are on the dining room table for the time being. I’ll transition them to the heated atrium over the weekend, and they’ll be the first thing I plant when I’m allowed to put weight on my foot! The baked goods are not long for this world 😏. My DH made coffee for the girls, and himself, and we all enjoyed a lunch of sweets! 😁
Tomorrow is my second post-op appointment. I am hopeful that the stitches will come out 🤞. Yesterday I re-did the bandaging on my foot. They had an ace bandage going all the way up my calf that was doing nothing but falling down to my ankle no matter how many times I re-wrapped it. I had just enough gauze to cover up the incision, and a spiffy ace bandage that has a little bit of ‘sticky’ so it holds onto itself without velcro. My solution is Way more comfortable, and I was kinda worried about what was then an eight day old dressing… I’m not allowed to get my food wet while the incision heals, so fresh everything felt like a good idea.
I’ve been rolling on my mom’s sketches. Another session should have them all mounted and in the binders. I’ve written the ‘introductions’ for the sketches, and will likely tune them up before printing them on vellum and adding them in the appropriate places in the binders. I’ve also been crocheting with some beautiful cotton yarn I bought eight months ago. It’s luscious in your hands, probably the softest yarn I’ve ever touched. Tomorrow afternoon I’m going to spend some time in the studio working on a group project that’s due early next month. I can sew left footed!
