On Friday, the 11th, while mom and I were driving to our mainland homes from the ferry terminal, I mentioned to her that we needed to refill the prescription the neurologist gave her. She paused, then asked if it was really time. I told her we’d filled it March 12th and it was the 11th of April, so yes, it was time. She then pulled the bottle out of her purse, looked at the date, said, “Yes, we did get this on the 12th of March. It is time to renew it.” This after counting that she had 7-8 pills left of a 30 day prescription. She’s not taking them everyday… Then she asked (drum roll please ~ and forgive me), “What is this medication for?” I replied, “It’s to help your memory, Mom.”
