A Delightful Chat

With my mom just now. She sounded good, content and grounded. If one didn’t know the extent of her illness, they’d just think she was merely repetitive. The most alarming thing she asked me was if she had cable TV at her mainland home. I assured her she did (for 6 years now). It’s the first conversation I’ve had with her in quite a while where I hung up the phone feeling pretty good.
