Two days ago, mom received a form letter from the department of licensing giving her 60 days (which happens to more or less coincide with the date she retested for her driver’s license) to have a physician attest that there is no physical reason she can’t continue to drive. Of course, there is the caveat that as she told me this, she couldn’t find the form letter. I don’t know what it actually says other than a doctor has to sign on the bottom line that mom is ok to drive.

Mom still only drives on the Island. This is as good as it gets, which is much, much better then if she were to drive on the mainland.
