Money Market

Mom has written eight checks against one of her money market accounts. This is three more than is allowed by the feds. When I called her just now to gently remind her of this, she actually remembered the five check limit! I’ve told her about the limit three times. She apologized. I, in a light hearted fashion, said “…we don’t want to spend money while spending money.” She laughed. There will be a fee associated with this check writing bonanza. She said she’d wrap a bunch of rubber bands around the check book to remind her not to use it for everyday bills/donations. That sounds like a good system.
