Mail Update

I called mom’s Island post office this morning.

• The good news is mom has not been receiving mail each day, and then forgetting about it. 
• The bad news is mom’s mail was still on hold since November 23rd, when she left the Island for the Thanksgiving holiday. She’s been back on the Island for 7 ‘mail days.’ Not receiving mail all this time didn’t trigger her memory that it was still on hold since leaving the Island 12 days ago. 

This is a first. In the past, each time mom returns to the Island, at the very first opportunity, she picks up her mail. The mail, along with her daily trip to town, are part of her steadfast daily routines.
