Screw Up

My step-daughter texted me yesterday after 5PM asking if the Luau was that afternoon. A swift look at the community’s event schedule showed me she was right. I was covered in dirt, 20 miles away, and had been sure all week that the event was today, Thursday. Chloe caught an Uber to the community (and yes, mom was delighted to see her!), and I cleaned up, and then whipped myself with proverbial chains for a couple of hours. There was no way for me to get there before the event was wrapping up.

Lessons learned: Put these events on my electronic calendar. Look at that calendar. Practice forgiveness. Namaste.
