Let’s all declutter now!

While the title of this article may be off-putting, I totally get it: Swedish Death Cleaning. Being the recipient of items from multiple estates, as well as juggling the contents of my mother’s two homes (now that she’s in assisted living), in the last 6 years, I can relate to this article’s message. My husband and I work on editing our belongings (so our children won’t have to) in the face of the influx of treasures from our late family members. It feels overwhelming at times. Our kids don’t want these items (they are enlightened, and/or have set realistic boundaries for themselves). I am a sentimental being, which doesn’t help in editing lost relatives’ belongings. I can, however, edit my own belongings.

Give this a read. It’s worth it.
