Podiatrist Visit

Mom has insertional Achilles tendonitis. My brief research reveals this is caused by a degeneration of the Achilles tendon. The immediate prescription is physical therapy (PT) and a night brace. I am suspending my anxiety regarding the definition of PT, and how much of my involvement may be required for the moment. I hope there is a roving PT that can make house calls, but will not get my hopes up, only to to have to adjust expectations again…

The podiatrist ordered an ultrasound of mom’s leg, as her right leg is more swollen than her left. I observed this last Friday. The ultrasound happens tomorrow at 11. HUGE thanks and gratitude to my daughter for handling these appointments while I handle mom’s leaking, creaking Island property.
