Big Event

The company that owns and operates mom’s assisted living community is a multi-state endeavor. In our state, and possibly others, (I simply don’t know) they throw an annual fancy event once a year for all the residents, their friends and family. Today was the day, with hundreds and hundreds in attendance. The theme was ‘Oasis,’ and people leapt at the chance to dress up and embrace their inner belly dancer. Two patient camels took pictures with countless guests, the meal was Turkish in origin, and the entertainment was delightful. My husband and mother-in-law were able to join us for a portion of the event.

Mom was in good spirits, rocking purple right down to a brilliant gossamer scarf tied around her head. Her white bangs made for a striking and lovely contrast.
