Neuropsych Appointment Tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the day mom has been waiting for, all the while insisting her doctor has told her she doesn’t need to keep the appointment. Being of two minds is an apt description.

I’ve prepped the kitchen to have a sack lunch for mom at the front desk. The scheduled start time is 12:30, and the appointment can run four to eight hours. I’ll bring lots to read, and snacks.

I feel a certain amount of anxiety, but not nearly as much as I would have even two months ago. An amalgam of knowing how to deflect & redirect mom’s angst/ire/questions, plus residing in a space of not getting worked up about things I cannot effect (a rare space for me to inhabit) has me feeling the calmest I’ve ever felt pre-big deal launch.
