Voice Mail

Mom left voice mail early this evening saying she wanted to discuss a few things with me… Mainly that she’s been ‘cleared to return the Island, and wants to discuss logistics.’ I confess this bummed my mellow a tad. It’s diminished my thin hope of an easy trip to the doctor tomorrow. I suspect mom saw the appointment on her calendar, prompting her to call me. Between seeing the date on the calendar, and making the call, I think she forgot what she wanted to tell me: ‘Dr. O says I don’t need any neuro visits.’ So instead she confabulated what she so desperately wants to hear.
