Rhetorical Question

I wrote to mom’s doctor today, catching him up on bits and pieces I think he ought to know before we see him next week. He might appreciate knowing that he’s the one who’s cleared mom to return to the Island… I ended my note with: “Mom is too ill to understand that she has a disease she denies having. How does this happen? Rhetorical question…”
