Melatonin

The nursing office at mom’s community emailed to let me know that they’ve been removing bottles of melatonin from mom’s apartment. Mom’s medications are (thank you God) managed by the nursing staff, and so she’s not allowed to have any meds in her room. Mom buys melatonin on the community’s weekly shopping trips. While these outings are, of course, supervised, the staff can’t get into a tussle with a resident about what they’re purchasing. What an epic shit-show it would be to confront my mama with what she should not buy, be it melatonin, canabis, or brandy!
