6th Anniversary

While this will post on March 23rd, (I’m up late), March 22nd is the 6th anniversary of my father’s death. I am both sad and grateful that my mother does not remember this marker in our lives. She absolutely remembers losing my dad, but if you were to ask her, “How long has it been since your husband passed?” Her answer would be anyone’s guess. I’d put a hundred bucks, maybe a thousand (gambling is not my thing), on her Not saying, “Six years.”

This photo was taken at a pub 16 years ago when dad did a photo shoot for a wonderful band we followed. He was incredulous when the door man asked him for his ID!
