Island Roof

The Island house roof showed up with a leak about a week ago. My once and future property manager went out three times with tar and roof-in-a-tube to do what seems like the impossible: Seal a leak on a 40-year old roof that has many suspicious spots, but no clear voids. It did not help that he wasn’t invited to see exactly where the leak was (second bedroom) until his third visit.

The rain started here in earnest this afternoon. I called the tenants around 7 this evening, leaving them voicemail saying I was thinking about them, and hoped the property manager’s valiant effort to sealed up the drip had worked. Having not heard from them, I am very hopeful the roof is tight.

I have a call into the preferred Island roofer. This is a job that can’t be put off another season.
