I reclaimed a room today. Not to say I am in any way done going through correspondence, reaching out to people, sorting documents (not the same thing as correspondence!), organizing photos (they keep coming!), finding places for the treasures, attending to estate details, or sorting books, but I was able to clear a room. Dusted, vacuumed too… We’re going to play a game of pool this evening. Pool tables make incredible surfaces for organizing and sorting.
In our eleven room house (not including baths), five rooms are clear of estate projects. This is not a complaint nor a goal, merely a measure of how the process is going. I feel deeply fortunate to have the time to take care of these tasks. This is time I strongly insisted on, and obtained. Advocate for yourself when you need to.
