Write Off

I couldn’t help myself! I made two phone calls, and got that 3.5 year old radiology bill of mom’s written off.

The billing office sent an inquiry to their research team. Meanwhile I called the collection agency and had a pleasant chat with the gal who filed the claim against the estate. She explained they did not own the debt, but merely serviced it. If the billing office decided to write it off, they would let her know and she’d file a reversal. An hour later I got voice mail saying it would be written off.

Sometimes it’s good to win/exercise a little control, even if it’s just over $14.67 😜.
