SF Trip – Day 10

Today logged another 6.5 hours of driving. I was struggling with road fatigue, and stopped frequently. The road inland from the coast was new to me and beautiful. The maples are all in perfect fall color, and show off against a coniferous backdrop.

The evening with my friends was wonderful. I was delighted to see their (brand) new home. We caught up, recalled old band stories, had a delicious dinner, and stayed up too late.

Tomorrow I meet my DH at my mother-in-law’s after 1PM (that way he arrives first). She has agreed to some help! The drive from here to there is about 2.5 hours. I don’t need to leave here until 10:30ish. Time to tuck in and shed some of this road weariness.
