No Water

My tenant called just before 5PM to tell me she has only a trickle of water when she turns either faucet on, which then stops. She called from the pump house door, whose lock is frozen, and said everything looked good – No water or ice, the heater was on, and the pipes looked good.

I called my AN to consult. After listing the symptoms, he thinks the pipes are frozen, or nearly so at the house. He’ll head over after dinner, and I’ve let my tenant know how to turn on the heater under the bathroom vanity, and asked her to place a space heater, if she has one, at the open kitchen sink cabinet. Fingers crossed we get through this without major plumbing excitement in our sub-freezing weather.
