April 2026 Island Trip – Day 6

Successful dump runs this morning 😁. Then I did and little of this and that, and dug up some rhubarb to take back to our mainland garden, and then I was done working for the week. I texted my neighbor to the east to see of she wanted to do lunch in town, hit the museum, and the antique shop. She was on board! We had a really good time.

I think choosing a time to stop working while I’m here is a seriously smart idea. It’s certainly good for my physical and mental health.

After my neighbor and I got back from town I rested for 30-minutes and then spent some time advancing tomorrow’s departure protocols. Nothing arduous 😏, just putting away things that I knew I wouldn’t use tonight.

I’m looking forward to going back to our mainland home. The physical post-op limitations were unexpected, and somewhat demoralizing. 😞 I got a lot done. The place looks like a park 🙂. I need to extend myself grace.
