A Weekend Off, Sort of…

Yesterday my DH and I attended our towns garden and quilt tour. There were six gardens. All had something to be inspired about: hardscape, fruit/veg plantings, ornamental plantings, design. And of course the quilts were like icing on a cake. Also very inspiring.

We took a lunch break at one of our local restaurants. Patio seating with a view of the sound. Ferry’s and trains going by. I realized that this is what weekends were supposed to be like! Look at gardens and art. Have lunch out. Relax. To continue with the theme…

Late this afternoon we met with our local kids and their families at our local beach to have an early snacky dinner and celebrate the summer birthdays. It was a really nice way to hang out. The kids had a great time, everyone had ample time to visit, and we all left full. And my heart is full 💜.
