Today was my ‘big shop’ before heading to the Island. A week ago I thought it was going to be onerous. It really wasn’t! Getting out of Whole Food’s parking lot was onerous!! There’s road work going on and I don’t think the city has adjusted the traffic lights to accommodate. One vehicle leaving the grocery parking lot per light was a bit much 😏.

The Trader Joe’s shopping was almost relaxing… I took my time for a change and found some additional goodies… An additional piece of cheese, and sliced dry Italian salami. While we are all trying to avoid processed meats, my folks loved dry Italian salami. Ooo, I found caper berries at Whole Foods, so what was going to be 3 different olives has grown to 4 fun tastes.

The super detailed spreadsheet I created has paid off in spades. It seems kinda ridiculous, and it isn’t! I’ve now sorted the spreadsheet and printed out the Friday Island shopping list. It’s extremely helpful to have the details corralled as I head into the gathering. Keeps me grounded.
